The society beauty Sophia Musters is depicted on Mount Olympus as Hebe, the Greek goddess of youth and cupbearer to Zeus. She feeds nectar to one of Zeus’s eagles, while the mountain’s strong winds rustle through her drapery and hair. Unhappily married to John ‘Squire’ Musters, Sophia attracted many admirers, including the Prince of Wales (later George IV).
