Watercolour of Kenwood Library

English Heritage has acquired for Kenwood a fine watercolour of Kenwood Library by Frank Hoar (1956), which will shortly be displayed in the House.

The watercolour was purchased with the generous support of the Friends of Kenwood.

Frank Hoar (1909 – 1976) was a British artist and architect who came to prominence when he won a competition to design the first terminal building at Gatwick Airport. His accomplished watercolour paintings on architectural themes were frequently exhibited at the Royal Academy in the 1950s and 1960s.
